hale is free and open source software for spatial data transformation. Its development is backed by wetransform. We ensure continued development and can provide unmatched expertise for the development of custom hale extensions, training and support. Purchasing support from us guarantees a defined Service Level and provides you with direct access to the wetransform team with a targeted response time.

For any request you make through Instant Messenger, E-Mail or using the Issue Tracker, you will receive a reply within one work day. The reply will at least contain information on the planned next steps and include an estimate of efforts.
Time is tracked using our time tracking software, and rounded to the nearest quarter of an hour (15 minute increments), with a minimum of 0.25 hours. While working with you or on a project for you, the timer is running. When completed, the timer is stopped, a description added to the entry, and it's submitted. If something will take more than the amount of hours you have already purchased, we will obtain your approval before exceeding the amount of time you have purchased.
When more than 5 extra hours have been used, we will invoice them at the end of the quarter, or at the end of the calendar year. The subscription extends for another year if not cancelled at least 30 days prior to the end of the current subscription period.
The hours allotted to you can be used for various tasks, including the ones listed in this section.
You can share your transformation projects and other resources with us and the community using hale»connect, our cloud transformation, modelling and data publishing platform. The accounts that come with the support contracts include no dataset and service capacity, but include unlimited transformation projects as well as access to the modelling and profiling tools.
If you're ordering one of the support contracts in conjunction with a hale»connect license, you will receive a discount of 10% on the price of the support package.
If you need help to complete a task with hale that is not a software bug, we're here to help. This can include explaining particularities of schemas such as ISO, INSPIRE or CityGML, how to solve a certain transformation problem, how to use the software in general and defining workflows that also include data exchange with other software such as ArcGIS, FME, QGis or deegree.
For professional support subscribers, we guarantee core functionality of hale. If you identify an issue that blocks you from completing your project, we can help you by either finding a workflow with an equally good solution or we will fix the issue and provide a build for you. The fix for the issue you identified will be included in the next release. Time fixing the issue on guaranteed functionality is of course not accounted against your allotment.
Note: If you find a critical bug in hale for which there is no work-around and can provide us with a reproduction case, we will add 1 hour to your available subscription hours.
Use your hours to sponsor development of new features in hale, so you can influence our product planning. Submit an issue via Redmine and notify us that you would like an estimate. If the feature description is clear, we will give you an estimate how many hours the feature will take to implement. If you then agree, we'll develop the feature in the next sprint.
This is especially relevant for automation setups via the hale CLI or REST API, or when integrating hale with other systems. Whether you need some brief guidance on the best approach, want us to walk you through the deployment and configuration via screen sharing, or let us completely configure it, we are available for any level of assistance.
We can review your transformation projects and improve performance and/or conformance, based on our long experience of working with different complex data models.
Under the support contract, you can also get remote training using audio conferences and shared screens. For onsite training courses, you should request an individual offer. In both cases, please tell us which topics you would like training on and we will notify you of the expected hours this will take.
For larger projects such as bespoke development, we recommend to request a professional services contract. Our team will work with you to determine requirements, goals and deadlines. Both parties must agree on all charges, statements of work and other specifications around the project before work begins.
